Ana-Paula Laissy has devoted all her professional life to explaining complicated matters in a clear manner. She graduated in Communication and Information Policy, and started her career as a journalist. She joined the European Commission to work first in its information department, and then in Human Resources, where she focused on non-discrimination. She served as spokesperson for no less than five EC Commissioners in a row, probably an all-time record. She then joined the DG for Regional Affairs, where she was responsible for the outermost regions, the interregional cross-border cooperation, and relations with third countries, China in particular.
Ana-Paula has become a natural trainer thanks to her deep experience of training, coaching and mentoring, gained during the many years she held management positions in the Human Resources and Regional Policies departments of the European Commission.
