One phrase you will hear all the time in our trainings:

‘And now, this is how it really works’

And how do we do that?

Our trainers display a wide variety of competences. What sets them apart is their capacity to give you a sense of how the system really works. They do not paraphrase what you can find online. Our trainers all have this capacity to use clear language, without jargon, and this is why they have come together in a company called EU.CLARITY. The name says it all.

We can put together a tailor-made training programme that closely fits your needs and wishes. We are totally flexible. The stories you will find here are just examples. Each training activity is different because every situation is unique, every need is specific. This is why we like it so much!

It is true that the European Union can look complex. This is essentially the result of two factors.

One is that its workings are based on compromises. If member states give the EU more power on a particular subject, they will immediately put in place a mechanism to ‘compensate’ for that, to keep control nevertheless. Yes, repeat no. As the EU increases its reach, it happens more and more often.

The other factor is that, contrary to other systems based on a federal model, member states are reluctant to give the EU too much visibility. The result is that even citizens of the European Union know very little about it, even though it has a direct impact on them.

The European Union produces legislation and provides services, and its impact is felt around the world – the famous ‘Brussels effect‘. It is a beehive buzzing with permanent negotiation and coordination between its stakeholders.

The EU is also a major actor on the world scene. It practices diplomacy in many different ways, some traditional, some innovative, some political, some thematic. It is for a reason that Brussels is the biggest diplomatic hub in the world.

We will do our utmost to shed light on all this. We will do it in a way that will give you, beyond dry knowledge, a familiarity with the European Union. You will see the pieces moving in front of you. And all of a sudden it will all make sense.
